Texelschafe auf einer Weide | Die Schafe dürften die einwohnerstärkste Population von Texel darstellen. Nahezu auf jedem Deich, jeder Wiese und Weide sind die Schafe anzutreffen. Die Schafzucht gehört zu den traditionellen Wirtschaftszweigen auf Texel. Es gibt dort in den verschiedenen Läden und Boutiquen nahezu alle Produkte, die man aus Schafen herstellen kann. Angefangen von Wollsocken, Wollpullovern, Handcreme und vieles mehr. Das Lammknuddeln, welches viele Schafzüchter anbieten ist besonders bei Kindern sehr beliebt.
